Casio Hits All The Right Notes With Launch Of New Compact Grand Piano
Casio's CGP-700 Features Color Touch Interface, Powerful Sound System and Authentic Feel of Concert Grand Piano
NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio America, Inc. is raising the bar in the music industry with the introduction of its new Compact Grand Piano(TM) - the CGP-700. The CGP-700 is the culmination of Casio's decades of electronics and music expertise as it delivers groundbreaking technology, a sensational sound system and a world class keyboard action that is perfect for professional pianists and aspiring musicians alike. The CGP-700 will be on display alongside Casio's full portfolio of electronic musical instruments at Summer NAMM 2015, July 9-11, 2015 at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN in Casio's booth (#432).
The CGP-700 is equipped with Casio's latest technological achievement, the Color Touch Interface(TM), which features a premium icon-based 5.2" touch display with 168,960 pixels. This bright, clear and easy-to-use interface allows musicians to choose tones, select rhythms, split and layer sounds, and more. Instrument tones and rhythms are organized by category and selective use of color allows users to easily view their current selection as well as other choices that are available.
"We, at Casio, are thrilled to launch the Compact Grand Piano(TM), CGP-700 with some incredible new technological advancements for Casio, and once again provide beginners and professionals alike with the opportunity to experience the next generation of digital piano," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio's Electronic Musical Instrument Division.
The new Compact Grand Piano features Casio's world-class Tri-Sensor 88-note scaled hammer action keyboard with simulated ebony and ivory keys. The company's superior engineering has resulted in the authentic piano feel that musicians expect in a grand piano. The scaled hammer action captures every detail of a performance and provides the weight and resistance of an actual grand piano.
The CGP-700 also incorporates a unique 3-way sound system with 40 watts of total amplification. Four speakers are located in the top of the CGP-700 which provides a rich stereo experience, and two additional speakers are located in the included stand, to provide the low frequencies to handle instruments like bass and drums with ease. Furthermore, Casio's Compact Grand Piano(TM) includes an exquisite sample of meticulously recorded sounds from a 9' concert grand piano.
Additional features of the CGP-700 include the following:
-- Stereo concert grand piano with four (4) dynamic levels.
-- 550 built in-tones including newly developed ones for guitars, basses,
