J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor is Cornerstone Piece for Orchestra, Choral and Chamber Music Festival in Scenic, Small-Town Atmosphere on California's Central Coast

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tickets are on sale for the 45(th) annual season of Festival Mozaic, July 16-26. Each July, FESTIVAL MOZAIC transforms California's Central Coast into a musical hotbed with more than 50 artists gathered from top orchestras and chamber ensembles in performances all over San Luis Obispo County.

Located three hours from Los Angeles, the Bay Area and the Central Valley, the Festival offers 20 events in 11 picturesque venues. Programming is built around the influence of Bach and the Festival will culminate with two performances of Bach's masterpiece Mass in B minor.

The Festival presents four types of events:

-- Orchestra--conducted by Scott Yoo and featuring soloists such as Kristin
Lee and the Bach Collegium San Diego.
-- Chamber Music--featuring Kristina Cooper, cello; Steven Copes, violin;
Robert Walters, English horn; and others.
-- Fringe--featuring classically-trained musicians playing in innovative
crossover ensembles (the Portland Cello Project and Irish group
Colcannon).
