This Week on Outdoor Channel: The Gunny and Miss Kansas Theresa Vail Take Aim & Talk Sniper History on "GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey"
DENVER, May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
WHO: R. Lee Ermey - a.k.a. The Gunny - is joined by Miss Kansas, Theresa Vail, in an upcoming
episode of GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey, an all-new, captivating half-hour TV series on
Outdoor Channel.
The Gunny, a retired Marine Corps Drill Instructor, weapons enthusiast and famed character
actor, is best known for his memorable performances in Full Metal Jacket, Saving Silverman
and Toy Story, to name a few.
Theresa Vail is a 2013 Miss Kansas winner, a 2014 Miss America top ten finalist, a Sergeant
in the Kansas Army National Guard and an avid bowhunter. This multi-talented outdoor
adventure seeker will be hosting her own Outdoor Channel TV series, called Limitless with
Theresa Vail, debuting in July 2015.
WHAT: In the sixth episode of GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey, titled "Russian to Conclusions," The
Gunny is joined by Theresa to talk about famous female snipers, some of whom were members
of the Soviet Red Army in World War II. Afterwards, the two Kansas-natives do what they
love best - squeeze the trigger on one of the Red Army's greatest historical rifles, the
Mosin-Nagant, in addition to the Steyr SSG.
Later in the episode, The Gunny delves deeper into Russian machine gun lore and checks out
the no-nonsense RPD and PKM with retired U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant and weapons
expert Russ Cannon.
WHY: Produced by Rogin Entertainment, GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey is centered on weapons,
weaponized vehicles and weapons technology - past, present and future. While consulting
with top-notch experts, The Gunny will get a chance to scratch his itchy trigger finger
as he demonstrates the power and history behind a gamut of weaponry.
WHEN: The sixth episode of GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey will air on Wednesday, May 20 at 8 p.m.
ET.
