CBS Boston, in Collaboration with A&G Entertainment, to Debut New Original Content Series #afewgoodminutes on Television and Digital Platforms
Fresh-approach interview program features in-depth conversations with creative and cultural icons
BOSTON, May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CBS Boston and Allen & Gerritsen (A&G) Entertainment today announced the launch of #afewgoodminutes, a new, original series of short-form interviews featuring candid conversations with leading celebrities, forward-thinking marketers and the brilliant minds behind some of the world's most successful businesses. The distinctive new series, hosted by A&G Entertainment's executive vice president Joel Idelson, will be shown on CBS Boston's myTV38 (WSBK-TV) and distributed on cbsboston.com/AFGM.
Each episode will begin with an airing on myTV38, where Idelson will pose an initial series of questions to his guest. The broadcast portion of each episode will air on Thursday evenings during myTV38's 10:00 p.m. newscast's commercial breaks. Following each broadcast "tease," viewers will be able to watch the full interview on cbsboston.com/AFGM.
The first episode of #afewgoodminutes, airing on myTV38 on Thursday, May 28, will feature a conversation with Wellesley, Massachusetts' own Jeffrey Raider, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Harry's.
Future #afewgoodminutes guests will include Boston native and international star Donnie Wahlberg, Warby Parker co-founder Neil Blumenthal, hip-hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons and Robert Wong, head of Google Creative Lab--the tech behemoth's in-house creative agency.
"We're excited to work with A&G Entertainment on this very creative new programming form that will be showcased on air and online in a way that appeals to our viewers and advertisers," said Mark Lund, president and general manager, WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV. "Joel has a unique ability to connect with his guests and we look forward to #afewgoodminutes being an eclectic entertainment vehicle."
"With #afewgoodminutes, we've created a forum for conversations with newsmakers that feels decidedly unlike a news series," said Idelson. "These interviews are more likely to take place at a coffee shop or a bar, rather than on a studio set. We ask wildly successful people the 'hot topic' questions that anyone would ask them, should they be lucky to have just a few good minutes of their time."
