Film and tech enthusiasts attending festival events at Spring Studios on Varick Street in NYC can discover and experience a host of immersive storytelling, art and multimedia projects. The illy cinema coffee bar, part of the festival activities was created by Shadi Shahrokhi, founder and chief designer of Flow Architect. The cinema bar installation features micro projectors and Flow Architect's custom L'Eclisse mini speakers built within and surrounding the iconic illy silver and red coffee can. The micro projectors and handcrafted speakers create a dichotomy of innovation - beaming vintage Edison Films from the early 1900's through the illy cans to create a small personal viewing screen for guests sipping espresso at the viewing bar.

"The installation speaks to the innovation that's happening in film, which can be seen throughout the festival, while also tapping into illy's heritage of invention and its strong relationship with art and science," said Shahrokhi. "The content draws inspiration from the World's Fair during the turn of the 20(th) century and creates a connection to illy's involvement in Expo 2015 Milano, which will begin in less than two weeks." During Expo, illy as part of its role as curator of the Coffee Cluster, a 43,000 sq. foot pavilion dedicated to the narrative of bean to cup, will provide a 3-D virtual reality coffee plantation experience leveraging Oculus Rift gear.

On April 21st Tribeca Film Festival and the Lincoln Motor Company will celebrate Sinatra at 100: Film & Music, with a special screening of On The Town followed by performances by Tony Bennett, Lea Delaria, Savion Glover, Brandon Flowers, Alice Smith, and the JC Hopkins Biggish Band.

To mark the occasion, illy will pay homage to Sinatra's "The Coffee Song," serving an illy MonoArabica Brazil Cold Brew. "The Coffee Song," (occasionally subtitled "They've Got an Awful Lot of Coffee in Brazil") is a novelty song written by Bob Hilliard and Dick Miles, first recorded by Frank Sinatra in 1946.

During the eleven day Film Festival, the illy cinema coffee bar will serve as a source of inspiration for film industry insiders and enthusiasts to discuss their creativity over illy espresso and cappuccino (#illyinspires). On display will be the new illy Y5 DUO single-serve machine capable of making espresso and brewed coffee. Coffee enthusiasts can also enjoy illy issimo ready to drink coffee at select locations including the BMCC Tribeca PAC screening venue.

Follow illy throughout the festival on twitter @illyusa for the opportunity to receive complimentary film tickets. Ticket holders attending Spring Studios events can enter to win a new Y5 DUO at the illy cinema coffee bar.
