Bridg-it Hosts Screening of Groundbreaking Documentary 'Mentor'

Exclusive panel discussion with film director, experts in bullying, conflict resolution and school law to follow screening

NEW YORK, April 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bridg-it, a provider of innovative solutions that cultivate safe, positive schools and communities, will be hosting a screening of the documentary Mentor on April 28 at 6:30 pm at Barnard College in Columbia University, located at 3009 Broadway in New York City. Immediately following the screening, Bridg-it will host an exclusive discussion about bullying and the importance of positive and comprehensive resolution strategies.

-- Dorothy L. Espelage, Ph.D., an internationally renowned expert on
bullying who has presented thousands of workshops and in-service
training seminars for teachers, administrators, counselors, and social
workers across the U.S.
-- Alix Lambert, Director of Mentor, who has directed and produced two
feature length documentaries: The Mark of Cain and Bayou Blue (with
David McMahon), as well as numerous shorts.
-- Beth L. Sims, a Partner in the law firm of Shaw Perelson May & Lambert,
L.L.P. representing approximately sixty school districts in the Hudson
Valley of New York State. She is an Adjunct Professor for Long Island
University teaching "School Law" to prospective School Administrators.
Sims also serves as an elected Director of the New York State
Association of School Attorneys (NYSASA) and is a member of the New York
State School Boards Association, and the National School Boards
Association, among others.
-- Ruth Zealand, a Professor of Education at The College of New Rochelle,
where she also is the Chair of the Undergraduate Education Department.
Her work in the classrooms and communities over the past 30 years has
centered on conflict resolution, mediation and bullying prevention.
