West Hollywood Mayor John D'Amico Confirmed To Give Remarks Tomorrow During The Community Unveiling Of The Sunset Strip Half Marathon & 5K

Elected officials and event organizers will share highly-anticipated event details and give remarks on how this event and festival will help boost hotel and retail trade in the city.

WHAT:

Tomorrow, West Hollywood Mayor John D'Amico, local business leaders, select members of the media, local running and music enthusiasts along with race organizers will attend the official Community Unveiling of the first annual House of Blues Music Forward Foundation Sunset Strip Half Marathon & 5K.

The highly-anticipated details, which include a 13.1 mile route through Hollywood and West Hollywood, cutting-edge finisher medal, and information on finish line music festival will be unveiled. Elected officials and event organizers will also share remarks on how this event will help boost hotel and retail trade in the city.

Other activities will include a performance by local youth band Major Minus from the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation and a training run for participants to preview the event experience. Afterwards there will be food and beverages for attendees.

ABOUT:

The Sunset Strip Half Marathon & 5K will take place in West Hollywood on April 19(th), 2015. The race and finish line festival will showcase West Hollywood's most iconic streets and famed institutions and feature live musical performances along the route. After the race, runners and spectators will enjoy a rock-themed music festival featuring live performances from local bands, cuisine and beverages at the finish line.
