TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - It was a tight leg from start to finish,
but it was Alain and Audrey who would find themselves eliminated from
The Race in picturesque Prince Edward Island after floundering at the
mussels Detour. They arrived at the Detour in fourth place but
struggled to outperform the other teams before being overtaken by Ryan
and Rob, who also had to complete a Speed Bump which involved finding
moonshine bottles buried in a steaming pile of horse manure. The
recently engaged couple arrived last at the Pit Stop where they were
greeted by an Anne of Green Gables lookalike in the stunning seaside
village of Rustico.
"I'm sad this experience is over," said Audrey. "But we're gonna start
our life together and that's absolutely wonderful." "I'm so glad I
don't have to hide that ring anymore," added Alain, who proposed on the
mat in Paris at the end of the eighth leg of The Race.

Episode 10 Recap
From the start of the leg in Montreal, The Race continued to Prince
Edward Island as the five remaining teams landed in Charlottetown.
Teams first made their way to Red Shores Racetrack, where one team
member assumed the role of horse and the other as driver, and completed
two laps around the track. From there, they made their way to Province
House and faced the difficult task of identifying 10 of the Fathers of
Confederation in the Roadblock. After a short fill up at a local
Petro-Canada gas station, Racers made their way to the Detour and had
to choose to either strip a bin full of mussels from the "socks" on
which they are cultivated, or calculate the weight of a colossal
quantity of potatoes. Once completed, teams made their way to the Pit
Stop adjacent to the Farmer's Bank in the idyllic seaside community of
Rustico.
For the first time this season, it was a footrace to the mat to claim
first place. Sukhi and Jinder outran the Olympians to win their second
leg of the season, earning the siblings two round trip tickets from Air
Canada to any of their Canadian destinations, plus $5,000 on their
Scotiabank Gold American Express Card.

Next Week:
It's the semi-finals (Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO) as four teams race to New Brunswick to fight for a
spot in the finale. It's an uphill battle as Racers claw their way
through a gruelling Roadblock. Teams face a blizzard of a time at an
Acadian birthday party, but a complicated coastal Detour leaves teams
desperately waving a white flag.
The four remaining teams competing for the biggest grand prize in
Canadian television history are:
-- Mickey and Pete - Best Friends, Muskoka, Ont.
-- Sukhi and Jinder - Siblings, Terrace, B.C.
