Team WolfPack Ferrari Racer Josh Cartu Iced by Sullivan Stapleton for ALS
BEVERLY HILLS, California, September 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Responding to Tom Light from FashionTV's challenge to promote ALS research, Ferrari
Race Car Test Pilot and Gumball3000 "TeamWolfPack" member Josh Cartu
[http://joshcartu.info ] received four full buckets of ice thrown over his head by 300 Rise
of an Empire star Sullivan Stapleton [http://youtu.be/ntz2elXUS34 ] outside the 4 Seasons
Hotel earlier this week in Budapest. "Cold - yet very refreshing," commented Cartu just
moments after the event, while concluding, "It's an extremely rejuvenating experience."
Since the campaign began, many celebrities have taken upon the cause including Justin
Bieber, Lady Gaga and Mark Zuckerberg to name a few. The viral craze has raised over $100
million as of writing - which aims to raise funds for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
research.
While rules vary, the ice bucket challenge involves participants recording themselves
getting ice water poured over their heads. The videos are published online within 24 hours
of being challenged and shared by others. Before getting drenched, a participant is
expected to tag friends to continue the challenge. Those who refuse the dare are expected
to donate at least $100 to the ALS Association [http://www.alsa.org ], or any foundation
pursuing research of the disease.
Celebrity DJ Deadmau5, a close personal friend of Cartu's, explained to his nearly 3
million followers that he preferred to support the cause directly by donating $10,000 to
the ALS. Since the viral campaign began, several million videos have been shared on
Youtube sparking over 35 million active conversations on various social networks.
According to Josh's co-driver Shay Sabag, Cartu is a serial contributor to social
causes; "When Josh and other TeamWolfPack members received the 'Best Team Award',
delivered at Gumball3000's final rally held in Ibiza, Spain last month, he immediately
announced a $60,000 donation

to the Tony Hawk Foundation to support efforts to build skateparks across
America for troubled youths. That's your typical Josh - when he gets something from
society, he immediately delivers in return."
After having Hollywood's 300 Rise of an Empire star Sullivan Stapleton deliver the ice
over his head, Josh nominated (on his blue badge verified Facebook Fan Page
[https://www.facebook.com/Josh.Cartu ]) fellow Gumball3000 drivers and TeamWolfPack
members to take part in the challenge and donate to the ALS Association. As per the rules,
they all have 24hrs to respond.
