SOURCE360 Enlightens And Enriches Brooklyn For First-Ever Summit This Weekend, September 19, 20 & 21

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The NorthStar Group and The Source Magazine will turn Brooklyn into the center of the Hip-Hop universe this weekend with the SOURCE360. Landing at a crossroads between music, art, fashion, and film, the inaugural event built a beacon for the lifestyle, highlighting the soul at its center for thousands in attendance. Check out the website for more information www.TheSource360.com

Featuring insightful panels hosted by everybody from LAVA CEO & President Jason Flom, Def Jam Sr. V.P Chris Atlas, Brooklyn Nets & Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark to RZA of Wu-Tang Clan and Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC at Long Island University Brooklyn, SOURCE360 evinced the diversity inherent within rap culture beyond the music. Also transporting attendees beyond the music, the weekend included the POWER360 launch party, Digital and Radio reception, screenings of films such as the acclaimed Nas documentary Nas: Time Is Illmatic, a sneaker summit, the Source Brunch awards and numerous other events hosted at LIU Brooklyn, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), BRIC, Barclays Center and other venues in the Brooklyn Cultural District. You can still purchase tickets here!

However, everything did circle back to the music when Wu-Tang Clan headlined Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the first time in over 15 years. They were joined by other legends The Diplomats, Bone Thugs and Harmony as well as Curren$y and hot new artists Dom Kennedy. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online via Ticketmaster.

SOURCE360 brings responsibility back to Hip-Hop through highlighting the importance of the culture and the power it exerts on the youth. Moreover, it bred commerce across Brooklyn, taking the genre back to the streets where it was born in New York City. New York and the music industry have never seen anything like this.

SOURCE360 opened up the doorway into the heart of hip-hop, and its impact will prove lasting.
