About 9/10: THE FINAL HOURS:
9/10: The Final Hours takes us moment by moment through the day before everything changed, before the "war on terror" became a part of the world's everyday vernacular. We'll hear from those who worked inside the World Trade Center, whose snap decisions resulted in narrow misses of the attack, as well as men and women who confronted the terrorist mastermind of the operation, Mohamed Atta, during his sudden -- and still unexplained -- detour to Portland, Maine. Shot at the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the special weaves together new interviews from a variety of perspectives, including: Howard Lutnick, CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald; Jan Ramirez, chief curator of the 9/11 Memorial Museum; artists including Jeff Konigsberg, who worked on the 91st and 92nd floors of the North Tower; and Michael Tuohey, the customer service representative for US Airways who checked in Atta for his flight to Boston. This combination of perspectives brings this last day of innocence into new -- and striking -- focus.
