Swiss Watch Brand, Baume & Mercier Hosts Launch Event In NYC To Reveal Promesse, A New Women's Collection

Top fashion media and notable celebrities attend to celebrate launch

NEW YORK, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Last night, Baume & Mercier, one of the oldest Swiss watch brands, introduced a new women's watch collection, Promesse, its first new women's offering in nearly a decade. The collection was revealed to an energetic crowd of who's who in the New York fashion media, as well as notable celebrities and influencers. Baume & Mercier's global CEO, Alain Zimmerman and North American President, Rudy Chavez, were on hand to do the official unveiling. This by invitation-only event was held at Gotham Hall, NYC, from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Actress, Jessica Pare, of the critically acclaimed, Emmy(®) winning AMC Original Series, Mad Men, joined as a special guest and wore the new Promesse 10160, a beautiful oval, mother of pearl, steel bracelet watch with 30 finely set diamonds. Pare was a welcomed addition to the evening as she embodies many of the characteristics of the new collection - femininity, glamour, sophistication and a bit of whimsy.



Other notables included: Star Jones, President and National Spokesperson of National Association of Professional Women and Supermodel Emme.



Promesse, is French for "promise" and is meant to inspire women to hold a promise close to their heart while celebrating their unique individuality through their own timepiece. Guests were each given a padlock and asked to inscribe their own personal promise before locking it to a constructed bridge modeled after the famous, romantic bridges in Paris.

Promesse will be available at select retailers nationwide and at www.baume-et-mercier.com/en-us/home.html in September 2014 starting at $1,900.
