Dominican Film Festival in New York Announces Official Program
More than 30 films, shorts and documentaries from the Dominican Republic, USA, Puerto Rico and Spain featured at DFFNY
NEW YORK, June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dominican Film Festival in New York (DFFNY) announced today the official program selections for its third annual film fest; a film retrospective celebrating actor/producer Manny Perez; the guest panel "Dominican in Diaspora"; and a photo exhibition of actor Juan Fernandez.
Running June 18 to June 22 at the Alumni Auditorium, Columbia University Medical Center and the Hall of Fame Theater, Armory Foundation, the fest opens with the 6:00 PM premiere of the film "Al Sur de la Inocencia" directed by Hector M. Valdez, starring Frank Perozo and Jullieta Rodreguez. The DFFNY closing night features the documentary "Mala Mala" directed by Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini.
