Wynn Las Vegas to Play Leading Role as Primary Location in Sony Pictures Entertainment's "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2"

Wynn and Encore Las Vegas resorts' world-class art collection integral to plot in sequel set to begin production April 21

LAS VEGAS, April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Pictures Entertainment's Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, the sequel to the 2009 hit comedy starring Kevin James, will be filmed almost entirely at Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, the two adjacent luxury resorts located on the Las Vegas Strip. Wynn Las Vegas boasts a multitude of stunning environments never before seen on the big screen.

Following the success of the Paul Blart: Mall Cop, which grossed $181 million worldwide, the sequel's production is set to commence April 21 and run through June. Directed by Andy Fickman and written by Kevin James & Nick Bakay and Kevin James & Todd Garner, the Happy Madison/Broken Road/Hey Eddie production is produced by Todd Garner, Kevin James, Adam Sandler, and Jack Giarraputo, and is slated for release on April 17, 2015. Jeff Sussman and Marty P. Ewing will be the executive producers.

In the sequel, in which James reprises the role of Paul Blart, the security guard is headed to Wynn Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers an art heist at the resort.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 will also star David Henrie, Neal McDonough, Eduardo Verastegui, Nicholas Turturro and Gary Valentine.
