Cast of legendary fan film RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK: THE ADAPTATION reunite after 25 years and launch Kickstarter campaign to shoot the missing Airplane Scene.







OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss., Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The shot-for-shot remake of the Spielberg-Lucas classic Raiders of the Lost Ark by two Mississippi kids in the 80's has become an international cult phenomenon, praised by Spielberg himself and the subject of both book (Raiders! The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made by Alan Eisenstock) and film by Napoleon Dynamite producer, Jeremy Coon. Now the cast and crew are reuniting twenty-five years later to film the final missing airplane scene.

To accomplish this epic feat filmmakers Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala have launched a 30-day Kickstarter campaign http://kck.st/1lBube0to raise the funds. The fundraising effort will feature never-before-seen Raiders Adaptation outtakes along with once-in-a-lifetime rewards for supporters, including personal DVD copies of the kid classic.

The iconic scene, where Indy (played by Chris) fights the muscular bald Nazi amid whirling propellers, will present many challenges - from reshaping a Mississippi dirt quarry into a desert airfield to building a full replica of the Flying Wing airplane used in the original movie - and finally blowing it all up.







"Fans have been urging us to do the airplane scene for years, but more than that ... to have the opportunity as adults to go back and finish something important from our childhood, to finally complete the dream we started thirty years ago..." muses Eric.
