Paul Sybert's Newest Song 'Across the Border Just in Time' Chronicles the Life of a Drug Dealer on the Move

Paul Sybert's Newest Song 'Across the Border Just in Time' Chronicles the Life of a Drug Dealer on the Move

MONTEREY, Calif., Feb. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul Sybert wrote this song about a friend living in Phoenix, Arizona at the time. The friend worked a regular job.

He also sold drugs: cocaine and weed (marijuana). One day, there was a knock at the door at home and he - without much thought - flushed $7000 worth of cocaine down the toilet. He had become nervous and jerky about the police and the mafia, and the Mexican mafia. They were after him on a daily basis.

He had reached a point where he knew he had to do something. He just wasn't sure what it was. The first thing he did was to get his girl friend and her children out of town. He flew them back to his hometown in New York State. Then on his way back to his apartment the next day, the "little voice inside" said; "it is time to go."

The friend left his apartment, his clothes, his truck and his tools and left Arizona and flew home to NY State. He knew they were getting close; they were after him. He had to go. The friend told Paul Sybert this story after church one Sunday. The lyrics of "Across the Border Just in Time" came to Paul so quickly that he had to find something to write on and something to write with. He found a stubby pencil and a brown paper grocery bag and wrote this song. Paul wrote it down before it left his mind and got away from him.

He later he became a minister and gave his life to God. Paul wrote the song, "Across the Border Just in Time."

Later Paul recorded the song in the studio and included it on Paul's CD, "Across the Border".

Paul's CD is for sale on his website: www.paulsybert.com page: Order CD.

The lyrics of this song are also in Paul's book, "The Dreamer and the Hummingbird".
