Cross-Canada Shortlist Announced for I Heart Local Cable Awards


SAINT JOHN, NB, Feb. 14, 2014 /CNW/ - The New Brunswick-based Canadian
Cable Systems Alliance (CCSA) is pleased to announce the shortlisted
nominees for their I Heart Local Cable Awards - a national celebration
of excellence in cable service delivery, community-mindedness, and
content development.



"We were absolutely thrilled to receive more than 100 nominations from
our members and their customers in every corner of our country," says
Alyson Townsend, President and CEO. "The nominations highlighted
amazing content, introduced us to the personalities that make local
cable so special, and told us truly moving stories of customer service
and community building. The I Heart Local Cable Awards are a
celebration of all that."

Online voting begins today - which we've christened "I Heart Local Cable
Day". Canadians can check out the nominees and vote at www.iheartlocalcable.com or www.jaimemoncablolocal.com until May 31, 2014.



"We hope Canada will embrace their local nominees and bring out the
vote," says Townsend. "It should be a thrilling ride, so stay tuned."



The winner in each category will have $1,000 donated to the community
charity of their choice.
