TCL Selects PointGrab to Power Gesture Control Experience in New Line of Smart TVS

TEL AVIV, Israel, October 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

PointGrab's New Groundbreaking Gesture Shortcuts Experience is Now Available for TCL
Customers

PointGrab [http://www.pointgrab.com ] Ltd. today announced that TCL Corporation, the
third largest television brand in the world, has selected PointGrab's industry-leading and
award winning gesture recognition solution to power TCL's upcoming line of televisions.
Partnering with TCL will further add to the millions of devices worldwide that currently
employ PointGrab's advanced solutions, including Smart TVs throughout the home.

The new 2014 line of TCL Android based TVs will be able to recognize gestures made
with one or two hands from long ranges and in a variety of lighting conditions. In
addition to a gesture based "Cursor Control", a "Gesture Shortcuts" experience was
integrated for the first time on the TCL Smart TVs, allowing viewers to easily perform
actions like mute, adjust the volume, zoom in and out, and interact by leveraging its
immediate and intuitive "shortcut" concept. This new experience will provide a more
comfortable, easy to use, and natural way of controlling your TV. These functions will
also provide more innovative and entertaining ways to play casual multi-player games or
educational apps, bringing a new experience and added enjoyment to the living room of
Smart TV owners.

"We are excited that a fast-growing manufacturer in the industry has adopted gesture
and believes in bringing more value and content to the whole living room experience," said
Raphael Sankar, EVP Sales and Business Development at PointGrab. "Having PointGrab's
technology available to TCL's customers means we are closer to meeting the challenge of
making gesture a natural interface within the home."

TCL's Smart TV gesture solution will be powered by PointGrab's proprietary Hybrid

incorporating PointGrab's technology in our line of Smart TVs, we can be confident that
our customers will get the most advanced, high quality experience they have come to expect
from our brand."
