Sports Pak 2 Now Available To Cox Video Customers

New package includes NFL RedZone and other sports networks

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications announced today that customers throughout Virginia now have a new option for sports programming with the company's new offering, Sports Pak 2. The new tier available to Cox Advanced TV customers will feature NFL Network, NFL RedZone, PAC 12, Universal Sports, World Fishing Network, Outside TV and in some markets, Big Ten Network and Sportsman Channel.

"Sports programming is a huge draw for some of our customers," said Betty Jo Roberts, Vice President of Field Marketing for Cox Virginia. "This new tier provides more choices for customers looking to quench their thirst for very specific sports content. And, with easy access to mobile apps like Watch ESPN, Watch NFL, BTN2Go and PAC-12 Now along with Cox's new Contour product allowing customers to record up to six events at one time, they won't miss a minute of the action."

The Sports Pak 2 tier joins the existing Sports and Information Pak and Essential offering as options for Cox video customers seeking sports content choices.

New Channel Highlights (All Markets):


-- Outside TV: Ch. 164/1164 HD
-- Universal Sports: Ch. 165/1165 HD
-- Cox Sports TV: Ch. 166
-- PAC 12: Ch. 169/1169 HD
-- World Fishing Network: Ch. 170/1170 HD
In addition to the channels noted above, the following channels will also be available as part of Sports Pak 2:


-- Sportsman Network: Ch. 167 Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads only.
Sportsman is offered in Roanoke in the Sports & Information Pak.

-- Big Ten Network (BTN): Ch. 168/1168 HDHampton Roads and Roanoke only.
BTN is offered in Northern Virginia in the Sports & Information Pak.
