South Bay McDonald's Manager Competes for a Chance at Voice of McDonald's Title

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tara Alexander, a McDonald's manager from the South Bay, is one of the talented US-based employees who has been chosen as a Voice of McDonald's semi-finalist. The global competition recognizes and rewards the most talented singers among the approximate 1.8 million employees working at either corporate-owned or independently-owned and operated McDonald's restaurants across the globe. Beginning October 28(th) to December 2(nd), members of the public can help Alexander advance into the next round of competition by voting online at www.voiceofmcdonalds.com/voting/usa.

Alexander is a manager at the Torrance restaurant located at 18145 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90504. If selected as a finalist, she will head to the Voice of McDonald's global competition in Orlando, FL, taking place April 2014. In the United States, this fifth edition of the competition started with a talented field of McDonald's employees before the hotly contested talent search called on consumers and top music industry professionals to help narrow the field to just three contestants who have been awarded this world-class opportunity to achieve their dreams.

"We are asking all Southern California McDonald's lovers to vote and help her achieve her dream."

Pending the results of the competition here in the United States, Alexanderwill have the chance to perform in two rounds of the final global competition on a massive concert stage with a live orchestra in front of more than 15,000 McDonald's owner/operators, corporate employees and suppliers in attendance at McDonald's Worldwide Owner/Operator Convention. The global Voice of McDonald's winner receives $25,000, the second prize includes $17,500, third prize gets $12,500 and fourth prize yields a check for $7,500.
