BERLIN and IBIZA, Spain, Oct. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Marcel Avram, the legendary pioneer of global music touring and one of the world's most successful international concert promoters for over 40 years, has joined forces with electronic music visionaries, Danny Whittle and Mark Netto to create a new, original international music event, IBIZA DREAMS - THE FESTIVAL.
The island beats and culture of Ibiza have resonated across the globe. IBIZA DREAMS - THE FESTIVAL will bring the essence, magic and spirit of the island to fans worldwide. The event will encapsulate the experience through mind-blowing dance music performed by major starsandup-and-coming breakthrough artists in an immersive and interactive magical environment. Spectacular art installations, pop-up happenings, culinary flavors, eclectic white fashion, and an all-in, mind-blowing immersive and social experience will combine music, space and time to teleport the spirit of Ibiza!
The team will produce multiple IBIZA DREAMS - THE FESTIVAL events in 2014, starting in Berlin and the HockenheimRing in Baden-Wurttemberg Germany in Spring/early summer 2014, then on to Israel, Turkey, Switzerland and Romania. In the initially targeted countries, the festival will be a major electronic music event. Current plans then call for the event to crisscross the globe to another 15 cities the following year.
Marcel Avram is a true pioneer of global touring. Over a 40 year career, he has successfully promoted and financed concerts, festival and stadium tours and even entire international tours for just about every major star of music! Many owe the crucial steps of their artistic career to him. Danny Whittle has been a leader of the electronic and dance music scene for nearly two decades and is one of the best know and respected operators in the space. Danny served for over twelve years as the "brand director" for Pacha, promoting, booking and "programming" shows and events for famed Pacha Ibiza and Pacha nightclubs around the world. Under Whittle, Pacha experienced exponential growth and became one of the leading lights of the worldwide electronic music movement. At Pacha, Whittle discovered and nurtured artists who have become some of the biggest stars of the international EDM galaxy. Mark Netto is a veteran of Pacha too and has spent almost 20 years working in the Electronic scene. He was responsible for setting up the management and touring department at Pacha and has produced shows on every continent.
