DENVER, Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Country music stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood joined President and Mrs. Carter and nearly 3,000 volunteers this week to help build, renovate and repair 86 homes in Oakland and San Jose, Calif.; Denver; New York City; and Union Beach, N.J. as part of Habitat for Humanity's 30th annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project.

Brooks and Yearwood worked alongside volunteers with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver today to help build 11 new townhomes and repair 15 existing homes in Denver's Globeville neighborhood. The country music stars built with the Carters in Oakland and San Jose earlier this week and will travel to New York City next, where they will work in partnership with Habitat for Humanity New York City and low-income families to help repair 15 homes on Staten Island and in Queens.
