Fifteen-year-old Entertainment Journalist and Radio Personality Pavlina Osta Launches TTYL, TxT Ya Later, LLC Foundation to Stop Texting and Driving

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- She's only fifteen, but determined to stop America's teens and adults from texting and driving. Pavlina Osta, recognized for her self-sought celebrity interviews broadcast on her radio network Pavlina's Kidz Place, and website www.pavlinaosta.com has announced the formation of her first charitable foundation, TTYL, TxT Ya Later. The entertainment journalist is determined to encourage teens and adults around the nation to stop text messaging, put down their cell phones and focus on the road while operating motor vehicles. Via public service announcements, celebrity spokespeople and real-life stories, Pavlina will aim to educate and inspire the public to ultimately do their part to heighten safety on our nation's roadways.

"I wanted to start a foundation around a cause that I truly believe in," Pavlina says. "It is my goal to create awareness and encourage a nationwide discussion about the dangers of texting while driving and what we can do to stop it. I'm looking forward to reaching out to the many celebrities that I have interviewed in the past to help join me in support of this important cause."

With the backing of TTYL, Pavlina plans to lobby for the month of May to be nationally recognized as Texting and Driving Awareness Month. Over the course of 30 days, Pavlina will make appearances at various schools and events to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting while driving, as well as to outline preventive measures.

Pavlina will also campaign to establish a national Phone Down Day in May when the public will be encouraged to avoid using their phones while driving. To signify their commitment to the cause, participants will be asked to wear TTYL's awareness color, teal, on Phone Down Day.

Additionally, Pavlina is creating an official Phone Down Pledge signup on her website, www.pavlinaosta.com, where visitors can express their support of the cause and commit not to text while driving.

TTYL is currently seeking the support of national brands and influential personalities to join its cause.
