The 2013 Latin Freestyle Beach Festival is a carnivale of Hispanic and Latino cultures. The two-day-long celebration will boast music with a Latin pulse for all tastes like Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton and Freestyle and have other attractions for both adults and children.

Musical artists and guests scheduled to appear include La India, Toby Love, Leslie Grace, Oro Solido, 24 Horas, Fuego, Giselle Tavera, Richie Rosario, Johnny O, and special guests yet to be announced.

Sandstock Music & Arts Festivals will donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit the victims of "Super Storm Sandy" and other disasters through the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund and the Disaster Relief Fund of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Ventnor welcomes the festival with open arms and there is already an outpouring of support from local officials, Hispanic and Latino organizations, and the charities.

"We welcome the 2013 Latin Freestyle Beach Festival to Ventnor City, NJ and anticipate a fun, family weekend with a stellar music line-up," boasts Ventnor Mayor Mike Bengall. "Ventor has a vibrant Latin community that I am sure is excited, and I hope all our residents have the opportunity to enjoy the show."

"The Latino Leadership Alliance is proud to partner with such a worthwhile event that will benefit Hurricane Sandy victims and the American Red Cross," said LLANJ President Martin Perez. "It is quite disturbing that Atlantic City would turn away a celebration of Latino pride and a good cause for local charities," said Civil Rights Chairman Richard Rivera. Rivera went on to say, "We've made repeated attempts to meet with Mayor Langford to understand his inclusion of the Latino community, but we haven't heard back from him after learning Atlantic City was not receptive to the event."

"As it turns out Ventnor City is a much better fit for the celebration. The city has bent over backwards to accommodate this Festival and embrace the Latino Community," says Cindi Martinez, President of Sandstock, Inc., production company for this event. "As an added bonus, the Festival will now happen during National Hispanic Heritage month. We invite all Latinos to come, enjoy the music and food, and celebrate our Hispanic Heritage."

Hurricane Sandy was a powerful hurricane that devastated portions of the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States, including large portions of New Jersey and New York, during late October 2012. The storm became the largest Atlantic hurricane on record (as measured by diameter, with winds spanning 1,100 miles per hour.) Estimates assess damage at nearly $75 billion, which would make it the second-costliest Atlantic hurricane, behind only Hurricane Katrina. At least 285 people were killed along the path of the storm in seven countries. The severe and widespread damage the storm caused in the United States, as well as its unusual merge with a frontal system, led the media and several government agencies to nickname the hurricane "Superstorm Sandy."

"What better place to have a benefit for the victims of Hurricane Sandy than the Jersey shore," said one of the organizers Desmond Benson.
