Southern Rocker with a Big Heart to Perform at the Annual 'Monticello Main Street Tour'

Southern Rocker with a Big Heart to Perform at the Annual 'Monticello Main Street Tour'

"Although I have performed on world renowned stages with big bands from N.Y. to L.A, there is really no show like the Monticello Main Street Tour. The richness it gives to my heart by playing music in my hometown is my ultimate prize." Gary Lee Jeffries

MONTICELLO, Ind., July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Out among the Indiana waves of grain is the township of Monticello, small but big in how it throws its annual Main Street Tour, a downtown street party that last year drew a crowd of up to 8,000. On July 26, sidewalk vendors will offer barbecued pork chops, beer, wine and other Tastes of White County to the tune of live American-made music. "The success of this event and what brings people back year after year is to see and hear the Gary Lee Jeffries Band. There are people as far as you can see down Main Street. Gary has the most amazing singing voice that goes straight to your core," avows local radio DJ, Brandi Page of WMRS 107.7FM. Monticello native, Jeannette Widner, echoes, "I can't wait for the show! It's one thing most of us around here look forward to every year!"

Jeffries, known for his hard hitting vocals with former bands, Asphalt Ballet (Virgin Records) and Alligator Stew, award winning music videos (MTV Headbanger's Ball "Soul Survive," CMT and GAC-TV "Blood Money") and songs featured on hit HBO series "True Blood" and "Weeds" and motion picture "Beyond the Law," returns to his hometown that he claims is, "the very heartland of middle class America," to headline this high-test summer fest with his band of "stellar" players:

-Scott Redding, Lead guitar
-Chris Lester, Lead guitar
-Doug Richardson, Bass
-Gary Higgins, Keyboards
-Randy Trent, Drums

Jeffries, "honored" to keep the music alive on Main Street", reaffirms that "it is the people who keep Monticello alive." He describes the event as, "a mini Woodstock because there is a positive attitude, a smile in people's faces, a reunion of families and friends, and heart and soul."

The band will perform a taste of their new material along with songs of true American grit with Southern Rock flavor from Jeffries' repertoire as well as favorite covers. Event starts 5PM.
