Young Lions Teams Chosen To Represent The U.S. At Cannes Lions 2013 Worldwide Competitions

McLEAN, Va., May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- USA TODAY, official U.S. representative to the International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, announced today the winners of the 2013 Young Lions "Team USA" competitions. Through this annual competition, USA TODAY helps to identify emerging American creative talent and celebrate them on a global stage.

The 2013 Young Lions categories and "Team USA" winners are:

Cyber: Korie Park and Dana Tiel, Grey Group
Film: Brent Goldman and Joshua McGuire, Tribal Worldwide
Media: Cammy Keiler and Jordan Ng, Havas Media
Print:Tom Mandel, BBDO, and Alex Martineau, SapientNitro

The work submitted for Young Lions this year focused on KaBOOM!, a non-profit dedicated to saving play for America's children by creating great playspaces through the participation and leadership of communities. All competitors worked from the same creative brief and were tasked with building awareness for KaBOOM! across the nation.

The 2013 "Team USA" competition included teams from advertising agencies across the U.S. with 393 teams registering and 232 total entries. The four teams chosen will represent the U.S. and compete in the Young Lions competitions during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this June. Forty-two international teams will compete in the Cyber, Film and Print competitions, while twenty-eight teams will compete in the Media competition.
