First annual beach festival features 70+ bands on five stages including headliners Taylor Hicks, Shawna P. & EarthFunk Tribe, Wayne Troups and Wet Willie with Jimmy Hall

PERDIDO KEY, Fla., May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- This Father's Day weekend, the world-famous Flora-Bama Lounge & Package will play host to more than 200 Gulf Coast musicians at the first annual "Shindig on the Sand" music festival in Perdido Key, Fla. The three-day beach event brings together a wide range of musical acts from New Orleans, La. to Panama City, Fla. including "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks, "The Voice" contestant Shawna P., Wayne Troups and Wet Willie with Jimmy Hall. The festival is a collaboration of the Flora-Bama and the Perdido Key Chamber & Visitors Center, who aim to showcase as many Gulf Coast musicians as possible while launching what is hoped to become an annual summer event on Perdido Key.

The schedule includes more than 70 acts ranging from rhythm and blues to rock and roll to country, pop and more playing on five stages throughout the weekend. Ticket prices range from $10 per day to $25 for a three-day pass, and children 12 and under will be admitted for free. The full schedule and tickets are available online.
