Warner Bros. Donates Hollywood Artifacts

WASHINGTON, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by Smithsonian's National Museum of American History:

WHAT: Barry Meyer, chairman of Warner Bros., will donate Hollywood movie artifacts to the Smithsonian's entertainment collections.

WHEN: Friday, March 8
1 p.m.: Donation ceremony in Warner Bros. Theater
1:45 p.m.: One-on-one interviews (by request)

WHERE: Smithsonian's National Museum of American History

In a special donation ceremony, Barry Meyer, chairman of Warner Bros., will add more than 30 objects to the National Museum of American History's entertainment collections. The objects are from 13 Warner Bros. films, spanning 1942 to 2005. The museum will display a number of the new acquisitions on the stage, including Halle Berry's costume from the 2004 film Catwoman, props from the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and a selection of stop-action puppets used by director Tim Burton for the 2005 film Corpse Bride.

The donation kicks off the beginning of the 2013 Classic Film Festival series made possible by Warner Bros. The first three-day festival begins later in the evening featuring the iconic films of Bette Davis.
