Company 3 Unites with USA Network to Combat Hate, Intolerance and Discrimination
Proud to Use Post Production Talent to Amplify a Universal Message of Tolerance, Respect and Acceptance.
NEW YORK, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- What form of discrimination won't you stand for? Award-winning post house Company 3 (CO3) On-Air Promotion and Trailers won't stand for racism or intolerance of any kind. A proud supporter of the USA Network's award-winning Characters Unite public service campaign, CO3 provided creative editorial, color grading, full sound design and mix for the Network's newest Public Service Announcement (PSA) encouraging viewers to share what they won't stand for and get involved in the movement.
Inspired by USA Network's iconic "Characters Welcome" brand and in partnership with leading nonprofit organizations, Characters Unite is dedicated to combating hate and discrimination. As part of the effort, USA launched an initiative to send the message that everyone can help stop bullying, racism, religious intolerance, sexism, homophobia, ableism and all other forms of discrimination simply by speaking out and saying "I won't stand for it" anymore. The PSA, as well as digital and community extensions, are aimed at promoting greater tolerance, respect and acceptance.
"I am humbled to contribute to this important effort and personally inspired by the Characters Unite message," said Steve Beal, the CO3 creative editor. "The message is powerful enough already. Our job was to humanize it, make it relatable. I think just about everyone can find one individual or group from the spot that resonates with them."
"There is no doubt that the CO3 teams were instrumental in bringing this message of tolerance to life," said Phil Griffin of Radical Media who directed the campaign. "It's a tall order to try and bring together a story that will both increase awareness and inspire action to address any and all forms of discrimination, but having the right editing, sound and color tools certainly helps a lot."
CO3 created :40, :30 and :20 executions of the PSA which began airing on the USA Network on February 6, 2013. Viewers are encouraged to go to join.charactersunite.com to get involved and post the issues they "...won't stand for."
"Our goal was to build on the momentum we created with last year's 'I won't stand for...' initiative," said Jason Holzman, SVP Brand Creative at USA Network. "This year's spot, which shows a series of interconnected conversations about how we can all do our part to fight intolerance, will hopefully inspire viewers to get involved in their own communities."
"CO3 has a long history of working with the USA Network but we are exceptionally proud of this opportunity to make a difference," said Beal. "This is might be one of the most important messages we've had the opportunity to bring to life. It's a real privilege."
