WHAT: HBO will host a reception followed by a screening and
discussion of the HBO Documentary Film, LIFE ACCORDING
TO SAM.



In 1998, Dr. Leslie Gordon and Dr. Scott Berns learned
that their two-year-old son, Sam, had progeria, a
progressive aging disorder so rare that fewer than 250
children in the world have it. LIFE ACCORDING TO SAM
reveals the remarkable world of Sam Berns, set against
the backdrop of his parents' relentless pursuit of a
treatment and cure for progeria while also making the
most of their time together as a family.



LIFE ACCORDING TO SAM is directed and produced by
Oscar(R) and Emmy(R)-winning filmmakers, Sean Fine and
Andrea Nix Fine.
