Collins Joins Team as Managing Director for Broadcast and iTV

NEW YORK, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Media Storm LLC, the strategic media and marketing agency for some of the most well known entertainment and digital properties, today announced the addition of industry veteran, John F. Collins to its executive team. Mr. Collins brings more than three decades of media and technology expertise to his role as managing director for broadcast and iTV at Media Storm.

Mr. Collins is based out Media Storm's Norwalk, Connecticut office and will be responsible for overseeing all local broadcast buying and DBS, as well as the continued development of the company's bleeding technology in iTV. For the latter, he will enhance exclusive partnerships with MVPD distributors such as MSO's, satellite and telecommunications companies to develop the latest interactive capabilities for consumers and brands.

Prior to joining Media Storm, Collins was one of the original team members of Canoe Ventures, LLC, an advertising technology consortium founded by the six largest cable operators, where he served as senior VP of product management. He has also served as group vice president of Time Warner Cable Media Sales working on advanced advertising technologies and applications in the interactive, targeted and On Demand environments.
