Los Angeles Area Legal Professionals set to Compete at the 2nd Annual Law Rocks! Los Angeles

Legal Professionals Compete to Raise Money for Charity

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven bands comprised of Los Angeles legal professionals are set to compete in the second annual Law Rocks! Los Angeles concert to benefit charitable organizations. Law Rocks! Los Angeles, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is once again hosting the "battle of the bands" concert at the Whisky a Go-Go in West Hollywood on March 1, 2013. The event begins at 7pm.

Last year's champion, Exposition Deposition (Venable/Ziffren Brittenham) returns to compete against bands representing Latham & Watkins (Willful Misconduct), DLA Piper (Run DLA), Perkins Coie (Privileged Communications), Cox Castle & Nicholson (Castle of Rock), Sperus, Landes & Umhofer (Matthew Umhofer), and all the way from London, England, Landmark Chambers (Infinite Jest).

Each band has selected a charity. The net event proceeds will be split among the bands' designated charities based on each band's total score. Scoring will be determined by a combination of audience voting, voting by a panel of judges, and total fundraising.

This year's designated charities are the LA County Bar Foundation, Western Center on Law & Poverty, LA Regional Food Bank, the Inner City Law Center, The Painted Turtle, Save the Children, City of Hope and the Good Shepard Center.
