CLEVELAND, Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Organizers of Abbey Road on the River are bringing the world's largest Beatles inspired music festival back to The Rock and Roll Capital Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 1, 2013. The festival originated in Cleveland in 2002 and then moved to Louisville three years later, so news of bringing it back to where it began is sure to excite Beatles fans and 35 bands from around the world who will come together for three days of peace, love, and rock-n-roll at Jacobs Pavilion at the Nautica Entertainment Complex.

What has now become the world's largest tribute festival to the Fab Four, Abbey Road on the River presents many different types of tribute bands from all over the world. Some bands look, sound, and perform exactly like the Beatles. Other bands play Beatles music accurately, and several will accurately recreate Beatles albums from "Please Please Me" through "Abbey Road." The festival also features Beatles-related speakers, film screenings, and the latest in Beatles merchandise.

"We're thrilled Abbey Road on the River is returning to Cleveland, the city where the event originated," said David Gilbert, President and CEO of Positively Cleveland. "This unique, three -day event is expected to draw roughly 15,000 attendees to Cleveland's vibrant downtown where they'll experience the best attractions and restaurants we have to offer, stay in our downtown accommodations and engage with like-minded Beatles fans from all over the U.S."

Gary Jacob, festival Founder and Executive Producer said, "While we are fortunate to have found a second home in Louisville, Cleveland is my home, and we felt it was time to revive the magic we originally created in Cleveland."

"It is confirmation of the energy happening in the city when home-town producers, like Gary, return events to the Downtown Cleveland marketplace," says Joe Marinucci, CEO of Downtown Cleveland Alliance. "Downtown Cleveland welcomes events with roots in our city. Abbey Road on the River is a signature example of success, now returning to be part of the momentum here."

Thirty-five bands will perform in Cleveland including All You Need Is Love, Jukebox, The LSB Experience, Sixty Four, The Newbees, BritBeat, and Wingsbanned.
