RENOWNED INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTION COMPANY TO GREATLY EXPAND SCOPE AND SERVICES
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dominic Pandiscia has been named President of Caroline - the Independent Services division of Capitol Music Group, it was announced today by Group Executive Vice President, Michelle Jubelirer, to whom Pandiscia will report. In his new position, Pandiscia is charged with building on the legacy of Caroline Distribution and EMI Label Services and expanding to offer a full range of services and new revenue streams for Caroline's artists, releases and label associations on a worldwide basis, including Marketing, Promotion, Commercial Development, Branding, Synch & Licensing, Lifestyle Marketing, Business Affairs and Finance. Pandiscia will be based in New York.

Prior to this promotion, Pandiscia was EMI Music Executive Vice President, Commercial & Revenue Development, overseeing the company's Label Sales, Commercial Strategy and Distribution teams for North America. He was also responsible for management of the company's ever-increasing streams of new and non-traditional revenue, including all Commercial Digital and Physical initiatives, Merchandise, Brand Partnerships, and EMI's Synch & Licensing divisions.
A highlight of Pandiscia's tenure as EVP, Commercial & Revenue Development, was his instrumental role in leading the Commercial team that worked with Apple Corps Ltd to secure the deal that brought The Beatles' music to iTunes in 2010, and collaborated with all parties on creation of the groundbreaking marketing and execution plans.
Pandiscia also launched EMI Label Services in 2008, the label service platform for Caroline Distribution globally. The division experienced much success under Pandiscia's leadership, including more than doubling U.S. market share from 2007 to 2010, achieving Top 10 debuts from Five Finger Death Punch, Twista, Bobby V, Raekwon, Ice Cube, Trina and Slash, as well as earning multiple gold and platinum single and albums, including Five Finger Death Punch, Twista, and Matt Nathanson. EMI Label Services also experienced much success globally, including receiving Mercury Prize nominations for I Am Kloot, and Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Additional artists and labels signed under Dominic's tenure include Peter Gabriel, Slash, Raekwon, Twista, E40, Secret City Records, Frontiers Records, Vanguard, Sugar Hill, Fabric, Alter Bridge, Peace Frog, Labrador, Tru Thoughts and more.
Pandiscia joined EMI in 1989 and has served in a number of senior level sales and commercial roles within the company throughout the past twenty years, including Senior Vice President of Sales for Capitol Music Group and, earlier, Head of Sales for Virgin Records in the U.S. Among the many artists he worked with during his tenure are Gorillaz, Katy Perry, The Rolling Stones, Ben Harper, LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack, Spice Girls, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Amos Lee and The Decemberists. He also held a variety of roles at EMI Records and CEMA Distribution in the U.S.
