Digiboo Expands On-the-Go Digital Entertainment Service in Minnesota

University of Minnesota Becomes the First College Campus to Offer Access to Digiboo's Catalogue of 800+ Movie and TV Titles

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Digiboo (www.digiboo.com) today announced the expansion of its popular digital retail entertainment download service to the University of Minnesota, the first college campus to install its kiosks. Two of the kiosks are located in high traffic locations within Coffman Memorial Union, as well as one on the main floor of the St. Paul Student Center. They offer students, faculty and staff a fast and convenient way to rent or buy movies or TV shows on-the-go.

"We are excited to offer the 'Gophers' at the University of Minnesota access to the latest entertainment content to watch between classes or during their commute," said Richard Cohen, Digiboo CEO. "Since our service caters to tech-savvy mobile consumers, with multiple devices and a passion for entertainment, the University of Minnesota is a great fit for us, and we hope it will be the first of many university installations."

Digiboo is a convenient choice for people to watch new and classic movies and television shows, whenever and wherever they want. Movie fans can choose from more than 800 competitively priced movies, including new releases such as "Looper," "Hope Springs," "Trouble with the Curve," "The Amazing Spiderman" and "Searching for Sugar Man," as well as popular catalog titles. TV lovers can enjoy their favorite episodes of "Fringe," "Revolution," "Big Bang Theory," "Weeds" and "Mad Men," among others.

Movies and TV programs can be downloaded in as little as 30 seconds to a thumb drive, or in just minutes directly to a device via Wi-Fi and played back on any iPhone®, iPad®, iPad mini® or iPod touch® or any Android or Windows-enabled PC, laptop, tablet or phone. Since the service is digital-only, with no physical discs, new releases are always in stock, and there is never anything to return.

"We are excited to partner with Digiboo and to have the distinction of being the first university with their kiosks." says Beth Galatis, Retail Manager at the University of Minnesota, "We feel that this is an exciting addition and that it is a good fit with our commitment to offering exceptional services, programs, facilities, and resources to students, faculty, and staff."

Last spring, Digiboo launched its service in Minneapolis by installing the first 11 kiosks in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) terminals. Currently, Digiboo kiosks can also be found in the Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA), Portland International Airport (PDX) and Boise Airport (BOI), with new locations to be added in the near future.
