Pinnacle College Graduate Receives Academy Award Nomination In Sound Editing for "Zero Dark Thirty"

In 2010, Paul Ottoson won Academy Awards for "The Hurt Locker" in sound editing and sound mixing.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul Ottoson, a graduate of audio engineering school Pinnacle College, has been nominated for an Academy Award in Sound Editing for the critically acclaimed film "Zero Dark Thirty." Since graduating from Pinnacle College in 1992, Ottoson has won many awards, including two Oscars in 2010 for "The Hurt Locker."

Ottoson is a sound supervisor, sound designer and sound mixer for the motion picture industry. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts have recognized him for his work as a supervising sound editor and sound designer. Previous recognition includes his work on "Spider-Man 2" (2004), four nominations for a Golden Reel Award by Motion Picture Sound Editors USA, and two nominations for the International Press Academy's Satellite Awards, winning one for Best Sound in 2012.
