TORONTO, Jan. 28, 2013 /CNW/ - CTV announced today its broadcast plans,
sponsor details, and associated programming for SUPER BOWL XLVII. CTV culminates its broadcast of the 2012-13 NFL season with exclusive
Canadian coverage of the big game featuring the AFC Champions Baltimore
Ravens taking on the NFC Champions San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Feb. 3(game coverage begins at 6:25 p.m. ET). For the first time ever, free live streaming of the game is available
in Canada via CTV.ca.



CTV's extensive coverage of SUPER BOWL XLVII from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. airs live
nationally and in High Definition on Sunday,Feb. 3 beginning at 11 a.m. ET, with seven consecutive hours of pre-game programming (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).



In addition, RDS has live French-language coverage of SUPER BOWL XLVII beginningat 5:30 p.m. ET.



Last year's broadcast on CTV and RDS was the most-watched SUPER BOWL broadcast ever in Canada with a combined television audience of 8.2 million viewers.



Bell Media Radio stations across the country will also have live
coverage of SUPER BOWL XLVII,including TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto, TSN Radio 690 in Montreal, TSN Radio 1290 in Winnipeg, TEAM 1410in Vancouver, and TEAM 1200in Ottawa.All stations will be covering all of the SUPER BOWL news coming of New Orleans leading up to the game.

Once again, the SUPER BOWL is proving to be the premier television property for Canadian

objectives. Labatt Breweries of Canada returns as full-game presenting
sponsor of SUPER BOWL XLVII on CTV, with General Motors of Canada and Nissan Canada returning as
quarter sponsors. Ford of Canada has signed on as a new, quarter
sponsor and PepsiCo is confirmed as the new halftime sponsor with the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show,featuring global music icon and 16-time Grammy(®) Award winner Beyoncé.


PepsiCo has confirmed it will unveil an exclusively Canadian commercial
during the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show that reveals exciting news about the Lay's potato chip brand in 2013.



Other key advertisers during CTV's SUPER BOWL XLVII coverage include A&W, Panago, RIM, Subway ® Restaurants, Volkswagen,
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada, and Wonderful Pistachios,
among others.


Special CTV Announcement

CTV also confirmed today the network will use the unparalleled platform
of SUPER BOWL XLVII to premiere a new, 30-second promo announcing the international
superstar host(s) for THE 2013 JUNO AWARDS. The announcement will air
during a commercial break during the big game. The top-secret message
was taped in Los Angeles earlier this month by one/some of the biggest
names in music today.


MOTIVE
CTV's newest original thrilling Canadian scripted dramatic series MOTIVE scores a touchdown with its world premiere in the most-coveted timeslot
in prime time television - immediately following a hand-off from SUPER
BOWL XLVII on Sunday, Feb. 3 on CTV. The captivating one-hour crime drama follows spirited female homicide
detective Angie Flynn on a backwards chase for clues to a killer that
has already been revealed to viewers. Set and shot in Vancouver, the
"whydunit" stars Kristin Lehman (THE KILLING), Gemini Award-winning
Louis Ferreira (SGU STARGATE UNIVERSE), and Lauren Holly (NCIS). The
series joins CTV's Sunday night lineup in its regular timeslot of Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning February 10.


SUPER BOWL SUNDAY on CTV and TSN

CTV gets football fans up-close and personal with the biggest names on
the NFL's grandest stage prior to SUPER BOWL XLVII on Sunday, Feb. 3with seven consecutive hours of all-encompassing coverage leading up to the most-watched sporting
event in North America.  TSN also hits the gridiron on Sunday with a
four-hour SUPER BOWL edition of SUNDAY NFL COUNTDOWN at 10 a.m. ET.



Veteran CBS Sports broadcasters Jim Nantz and Phil Simms call the game
action, marking the third time in his illustrious 28-year broadcasting
career that Nantz calls play-by-play for the SUPER BOWL. Simms provides analysis for his seventh SUPER BOWL, Nantz and Simms are joined on the broadcast by analysts Steve Tasker
and Solomon Wilcots serving as sideline reporters.


TSN at SUPER BOWL XLVII

TSN gets Canadian football fans set for SUPER BOWL XLVII with daily reports on SPORTSCENTRE beginning today, as Rod Smith helms coverage on-site from New Orleans alongside analysts Chris Schultz, Jesse Palmer, and TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor. Also beginning today, SPORTSCENTRE will feature SUPER BOWL-themed Top 10 countdowns leading up to SUPER BOWL XLVII. TSN will also get fans set for the big game with TOP 50 NFL PLAYS OF 2012-13 on Saturday, February 2 at 7 p.m. ET.
