Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Welcomes Visitors to the Victoria & Albert Museum to Celebrate Over 100 Years of Hollywood Costumes

LONDON, November 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Explore the role that costumes play in cinema and see over 100 of the most

iconic film costumes at the V&A exhibition before 27 January 2013

The Victoria and Albert Museum combines film and fashion as it hosts one of the most
eagerly awaited exhibitions in recent years, 'Hollywood Costume'. Millennium & Copthorne
Hotels have several hotels near Royal Albert Hall
[http://www.millenniumhotels.co.uk/campaigns/royal-albert-hall.html ], all within easy
reach of the V&A Museum and other London attractions.

'Hollywood Costume', sponsored by Harry Winston, whose stunning jewels are dotted
around the exhibition, is split into three sections. The first of these, 'Deconstruction',
explores the relationship between character and costume. This showcases pieces such as the
yellow jumpsuit worn by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill and gowns from both the 1938 and 2006
versions of Marie Antoinette.

The second room, 'Dialogue', explores the relationship between filmmakers, actors and
their costume designers. This features pre-recorded interviews with stars such as Meryl
Streep and Robert De Niro, who have chosen pieces from their most well-known performances
for display.

'The Finale' showcases pieces from some of the most iconic films in history. Audrey
Hepburn's little black dress from Breakfast at Tiffany's is displayed near to Judy
Garland's blue and white pinafore and ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. Johnny Depp's
Jack Sparrow costume, Keira Knightley's green gown from Atonement and Marilyn Monroe's
white dress that once blew up over a New York subway grating are also available to view.

The Independent claimed that visiting 'Hollywood Costume' was like 'walking into the
best Hollywood party ever.'

The exhibition took over five years to collate and is just GBP14 to visit. Choose to
relax afterwards at Millennium & Copthorne London hotels
