WXYZ Channel 7 to Air Special on Kilpatrick Corruption Case

Wednesday, September 5th, 7 p.m.

DETROIT, Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 7 Action News Investigators will take viewers inside the federal public corruption case of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick in a 7 Action News special, Wednesday, September 5, at 7 p.m. on Channel 7. The half-hour program, "Kilpatrick Corruption Case," uncovers new information about Kilpatrick, his father Bernard Kilpatrick, his friend Bobby Ferguson and former water department director Victor Mercado, who are scheduled to go to trial September 6(th).

The program will feature a report from investigator Scott Lewis, who travelled to Kilpatrick's home in Grand Prairie, Texas for an exclusive report on the former mayor and a look at his Texas lifestyle. Lewis also speaks one-on-one with Kilpatrick for this special. Investigators Heather Catallo and Ross Jones reveal new details about the Kilpatrick criminal investigation and offer insight into the upcoming trial.
