IP Portfolio Value Bolstered by Grant of Six New Patents

("xG" or the "Company"), the developer of a portfolio of wireless communications technologies, including cognitive radio networks, today announced that is has been granted six new patents in the past three months. The awarded patents cover a wide range of technologies including spectrum sharing, media access control (MAC), mobile VoIP signaling and interference detection/mitigation.

These newly granted patents underscore the Company's increasingly valuable Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio as well as its growing leadership in the rapidly expanding cognitive radio market. The New York Times recently reported, "A number of companies are developing technology that could change the whole spectrum game by using radio frequencies more efficiently."
