Ray Bradbury Receives Legend Award Posthumously at Premiere of "Ray Bradbury's Kaleidoscope"

LOS ANGELES, June 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- It was June 12, 2012 when an enthusiastic crowd with standing room only was at the Los Angeles Premiere of Ray Bradbury's Kaleidoscope starring Brett Stimely, whose work spans over 15 years.

The crowd cheered when Ray Bradbury posthumously received the well-deserved Legend Award at the New Media Film Festival. His iconic work spanned over six decades with over 500 literary works - with countless honors even from the President of the United States. His best-known works include Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, and The Illustrated Man.

The Illustrated Man includes the short story "Kaleidoscope" which has been adapted by Quixotic Productions into the 17-minute film called Ray Bradbury's Kaleidoscope, which stars Brett Stimely. Stimely, an action star, is known for his roles in Watchmen and Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.

The film gets placed into the Science Fiction genre. However, it is more of an action-drama whose intensity and thought-provoking dialogue resonates with us as we face a life or death situation.

Stimely demonstrated his acting ability and depth by keeping us guessing even after the film. He, along with director Eric Tozzi, fielded questions after the movie.

Ray Bradbury's Kaleidoscope will next play at the Roswell International Sci-Fi Film Festival June 23rd and the Fright Night Film Festival July 1st, as well as other planned showings that can be seen at the website www.RayBradburysKaleidoscope.com.

SYNOPSIS

In Ray Bradbury's Kaleidoscope, Brett Stimely (pictured here: http://www.ereleases.com/pic/Brett-Stimely.jpg) is an astronaut who pulls together the surviving crew of an exploded spaceship cargo carrier. The deeper he digs in the moments before his almost certain death, the greater his risk of discovering what matters. Are memories really worth more than dreams?
