Mark Kia in Scottsdale to be Water Drop Location in 98KUPD's "Operation Hydration."

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- 98KUPD, also known as Arizona's "Real Rock Station" is proud to have Mark Kia in Scottsdale be a water drop location for the community service promotion "Operation Hydration," where the KUPD morning show will assist in providing hundreds of cases of bottled water to the valley's homeless and less fortunate. The promotion will begin May 28th and run throughout the summer.

Every Thursday, Eric from the KUPD morning show will head out to various places around the Valley and collect water from listeners and will deliver it to the Phoenix Rescue Mission. Mark Kia in Scottsdale, as well as a couple other dealers from the Mark Auto Group, will be water drop locations. Once water starts to accumulate at the dealer, they are asked to deliver it to the Phoenix Rescue Mission.

Due to the summer's rising heat that can reach to 110 degrees, more and more homeless people will become vulnerable to heat stroke, dehydration and sometimes even death. In response, KUPD, Mark Kia and many other companies in the Phoenix area will collect as much water bottles as they can to ensure the safety and hydration of the homeless.
