Empire, the world's biggest movie magazine, today announced it is to enter its sixth
global market with the launch of the Empire U.S. iPad edition. Headlining its
international portfolio, this brand new, bespoke edition will tap into the large pool of
passionate iPad owning film enthusiasts in the U.S. and the growing consumption of
magazines through digital forms. Empire U.S. will look to build on the near 500,000
monthly unique users that already visit the brand online in the U.S.



The U.S. iPad edition will be a fully interactive app featuring embedded film trailers
and offers innovative and attractive advertising capabilities alongside in-depth
behind-the-scenes features and unrivalled access to iconic A-list film stars.



Launching on June 1 in the Apple Newsstand with Empire's July 2012 issue, the iPad
edition has been designed to fully utilise the next generation of display offerings from
Apple's new iPad and will debut with an exclusive front cover from Christopher Nolan's
upcoming summer blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises.



Empire U.S. forms part of a brand e-publishing and multi-channel international
strategy amplifying Empire's position as the world's biggest movie magazine.
