NEW YORK, June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- 1800® Tequila announces it has partnered with SPIN for the highly anticipated reveal of its fourth groundbreaking Essential Artists series, which selects six rising stars from the contemporary art scene to each design a limited-edition 1800 Silver Tequila bottle representing a modern blend of artistry and quality.

Two brands known for pioneering emerging talent, 1800® Tequila and SPIN are joining to celebrate the launch of the newest collection and unveil the dynamic range of original artwork from the six visionaries at an exclusive, invitation-only loft party at SoHo hotspot Nejla on June 13. The evening will feature a special performance by SPIN's July/August cover artist Wavves, and DJ sets by J2K of Flosstradamus and Nick Catchdubs.

The artists commissioned for the 1800® Essential Artists collection have made their marks as graffiti artists, graphic designers, illustrators, and animators; each one recognized as both influential and inventive within their genre. Spanning the Atlantic, they include Kai & Sunny (London), Tara McPherson (New York), Ilovedust (London), Nathan Fox (New York), Stephen Bliss (New York), and Sandro "Misk1" Tchikovani (San Francisco), represented by premier artist management agency Bernstein & Andriulli.

Displaying strikingly diverse designs inspired by Mayan culture, Aztec mythology, and Mexican heritage, the set of six collectible bottles represent some of the most innovative spirits packaging on US shelves. Only 1,800 bottles of each will be produced and sold in high-end liquor stores starting June 2012.
