StubHub, the largest secondary ticket marketplace in the US, is making its first foray
into the global market, officiallylaunching in the UK today (March 16 2012). StubHub, an
eBay Inc. company (NASDAQ: EBAY), will sell ticketsto the hottest music, sport and
entertainment events across the UK, without charging consumers a service fee at the point
of purchase - a first for the industry.
StubHub is a ticket marketplace that connects buyers to sellers.However unlike current
UK competitors the company does not buy or sell tickets for profit. In the US StubHub
sells a ticket every second and estimates the current value of the UK market at more than
GBP300 million per year. The UK beta site already lists over 140,000 tickets to
high-profile events such as Madonna, Coldplay and Florence + the Machine with new events
being added every day.

what they pay for. The guarantee also applies to sellers who are paid once receipt of the
tickets has been confirmed.
The StubHubFanProtect(TM) Guarantee also means that that fans will receive their
tickets in time for the event and they will be valid for entry.In the unlikely event, fans
have an issue with their tickets,StubHub will find comparable or better tickets to the
event, or offer fans a refund. In addition, if the event is cancelled and not rescheduled,
fans will receive a full refund.
The StubHub site features interactive seat mapsthat help fans find exactly the seats
they want so. It also offers ticket listing tools that make it easy for sellers to upload
tickets quickly and easily
StubHub will be offering a full suite of mobile applications, and also opening the
first-ever central London retail outlet for fans to buy, pick up or drop off their
tickets. The first hub will open in Summer 2012 on Great Portland Street, and additional
pop-up locations are planned to be across the country. These will be conveniently located
close to major venues, meaning fans will never have to worry about getting in at the last
minute.
The company has also opened a UK-based call centre opened from 09:00 - 21:00, seven
days a week, to handle any and all customer queries.
