DIY Network Seeks Owner of America's Most Desperate Landscape to Receive $25,000 Yard Makeover

The Dirtiest Network on TV Also Announces New Crop of Landscaping Shows, Including New Series Yardcore

NEW YORK, March 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DIY Network is on a mission to find America's Most Desperate Landscape. The go-to-destination for home improvement television is asking viewers to share evidence of their desperate landscapes with the Network in hopes of receiving a $25,000 yard makeover. Now through Monday, April 30, 2012, homeowners can upload photos and videos of their ugly front yards to DIYNetwork.com.

In this fifth annual challenge where ugly wins, the prize is a complete landscape makeover, courtesy of DIY Network expert host and licensed contractor Jason Cameron and his Desperate Landscapescrew. The winner will also appear on America's Most Desperate Landscape, a one-hour special documenting the search and build, which premieres on DIY Network Wednesday, July 18 at 9 p.m. ET.

Outdoor makeover series Desperate Landscapes transforms the most embarrassing yards on the block into functional and beautiful spaces that are the envy of the neighborhood. The ninth season of Desperate Landscapes premieres on Wednesday, March 28 at 9 p.m. ET. The search for America's Most Desperate Landscape helps kick-off DIY Network's new spring landscape programming. The newest addition to the lineup is Yardcore, premiering Tuesday, April 24 at 9 p.m. ET. In this half-hour series, landscape professionals Jake and Joel Moss are ready to set homeowners up with the yard of a lifetime, and take on all the challenges of making it happen. They will only get a quick tour of the yard and a five minute tour of the homeowner's interior to get clues, and then make it all happen in 48 hours...without ever meeting the homeowner until the dramatic reveal.

Also returning this spring are new seasons of fan favorite series Yard Crashers, Turf War,Indoors Out andKing of Dirt, and a new one-hour special, Cool Tools: Landscape Special. These shows feature DIY Network's top landscaping experts, including Matt Blashaw, the newest addition to the Crashers franchise, and Jay Baker, Turf War's latest crew member.
