According to recent data collected by the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, half of all German adults are either overweight (36.4%) or obese (13.7%). The data also found that obese Germans are more than twice as likely as normal weight or underweight Germans to have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and to have suffered a heart attack.
