QVC, Inc. Appoints Linda Dillman Chief Information Officer
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC announced today that Linda Dillman has been appointed Chief Information Officer, reporting to QVC President and CEO Mike George. Dillman has led world class IT teams for more than 20 years, most recently as Senior Vice President, Global IT, at HP. Previously, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Wal-Mart, where she was instrumental in transforming the supply chain management model for Wal-Mart and for the retail industry as a whole.

The company has successfully expanded to markets around the world, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and most recently Italy. In her new role, Dillman will provide strategic oversight and direction on the design, development and implementation of technology solutions, oversee the day-to-day management of the US and corporate information technology operations, and in partnership with the international market leaders, help set the direction of the information technology organizations in QVC's markets around the world.

Prior to joining QVC, Dillman served as Senior Vice President, Global IT, at Hewlett-Packard, where she was responsible for development, support and management of all IT applications for the Enterprise Services business unit and all Global Functions.
During an 18 year career with Wal-Mart from 1991-2009, Dillman served in areas of increasing responsibility in IT, including Executive Vice President and CIO, and also served as Executive Vice President, Risk and Benefits. At Wal-Mart, she helped the company harness real-time information on purchasing patterns and economic logistics to ensure millions of products were in stock quickly and efficiently, regardless of where the product's supplier was located. She also led several international systems conversions, most notably during Wal-Mart's acquisition of the ASDA chain in the United Kingdom.
Dillman holds a degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis. She has enjoyed career distinction as one of Fortune Magazine's Most Powerful Women, and currently serves on the board of directors of Cerner Corporation.
