HONG KONG TOURISM BOARD PROVIDES SATELLITE FEED FOR BROADCASTING WORLDWIDE
For the fifth year in a row, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is organising the Hong Kong New Year Countdown Celebrations on the night of 31 December 2011. Heralding the Western New Year and in anticipation of the Year of the Dragon on the Chinese lunar calendar, the Celebrations will take on the theme "Soaring Dragon with a Happy Heart."
This year's spectacular pyrotechnic show will last for four minutes, greeting the world with "Happy New Year" created by pyrotechnic effects appearing above Victoria Harbour for the first time. A "golden dragon" will also spiral up Two ifc, symbolising a vibrant new year for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012.
To ensure global audiences can share the excitement in Hong Kong, the HKTB will provide satellite feed of the entire event for use by television broadcasters worldwide. The following are details of the countdown event satellite feed.
