Dev and The Cataracs Use Taglists by Eye-C to Connect Directly With Fans

Dev and The Cataracs Use Taglists by Eye-C to Connect Directly With Fans

Brands, Celebrities, Artists and More Can Use New "Artists' Tool" to Simplify Social Media Efforts and Engage in Instant, Two-Way Interaction with Audiences

PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Eyecon today unveiled its "Artists' Tool" - new functionality in Taglists by Eye-C that lets artists, brands, celebrities, content creators, promoters and many more, easily engage with their audiences. The toolset enables users to instantly connect with fans and followers on social media by sharing the latest photos, videos, and music and allowing audiences to interact with Taglists' two-way, interactive playlists. Check out the free app in action with pop-singer Dev's Exclusive Taglist for fans released today.

In 2010, Dev exploded onto the music scene with chart-topping dance hits "Booty Bounce," "Bass Down Low," and "In the Dark." Her first Taglist features a brand new single "Naked," a duet with Enrique Iglesias, available before its official release. Dev and indie-pop duo, The Cataracs, are among the first artists to use the Taglist app, creating special playlists for their huge New Years Eve bash, World Town NYE 2012, in San Francisco, CA, where The Cataracs will also use the app to release an unannounced new single at the stroke of midnight.

"We wanted to get people talking and build some buzz around the 'Naked' single and my album release, so we've been working hard in our social networks," said Dev, whose highly anticipated debut album, "The Night the Sun Came Up," is slated for release March 2012. "I liked using Taglists because it gives us a new way to talk with fans on Facebook and Twitter. Instead of just plain status updates, we can use videos and songs to build playlists with the audience. Instead of a bunch of links, they get to play with the new music and videos. Very cool."

The new Artists' Tool offers a simple interface within Taglists for entertainers and their teams to create engaging media lists and promote them socially to audiences. From there, fans simply push "Play" and the Taglist will stream onto their mobile phone, connected TV, and set top box, with more devices coming soon. Audiences can even post comments, add their own photos, songs, and videos, and share the Taglist - creating an entirely social, viral and interactive experience.

"We're focused on finding amazingly talented artists and building the credibility and reputation they need to move into the mainstream," said Carlo Fox of Indie-Pop Records. "Outside of radio play, nothing works better for that than social networking, and nothing gets shared more in social networking than music, videos, and pictures. We think Taglists is pretty radical, because it combines all of those functions - it plays like a radio station, connects like a social network, and focuses on the music and videos that people love."
